Stefanie Nation

stefanie_nation200x300By now no one will deny that Stefanie Nation is one of the hottest young stars in women’s professional bowling. She became a household name during the 2008-2009 season of the Professional Bowlers Association Women’s Series when she made three ESPN finals appearances in three months, seizing her first PBA Women’s Series title at the 2008 Pepsi Viper Championship in Omaha, Neb. Months later, she became the reigning Women’s World Champion when she took the Singles Gold medal at the Women’s World Championship in Las Vegas, where she also earned Silver medals in both the Trios and Team events. Earlier this year on January 17, 2010, Stefanie Nation bolstered her growing reputation when she seized yet another PBA Women’s series title live on ESPN at the Earl Anthony Memorial Classic in Dublin, Calif.

At just 26 years of age, Stefanie Nation is now an international star with a competitive itinerary that spans the globe, including Berlin, Taiwan, Mexico, Denmark, Guam and the Dominican Republic. Though Nation began her competitive bowling career just ten years ago, success came almost instantly.  She remains the youngest person ever to make Team USA and won the first of an amazing three-consecutive Junior Gold tournaments at age 19. At the University of Central Florida, Nation compiled a long record of success that included an appearance in the National Championship.

Stefanie Nation is regularly featured in centerfolds and advertisements in the most widely-read publications in the bowling industry, and she has become a fixture on ESPN’s many bowling telecasts both as a competitor and a commentator. Her talent and the attention she garners at events around the world make her the kind of transcendent star that any sport can hang its hat on.
